Clean friendly Mexican American diner I've been coming here for many years. Good for breakfast lunch & dinner. Patio seating in summer I've brought my dogs before. Prices are a little high but the food is good. I always get the pozole in winter it's my favorite! Always a good experience coming here

For once, having the mongrels with us helped out, haha. This place was pretty busy the Sunday morning we stopped in, with a big group of people waiting for tables. But when my husband went in to ask about patio seating, they said they'd be able to get us in right away. It was a mild fall morning, and with the patio being covered and a bit of sunshine peeking in, the patio was quite comfortable. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but it did take her a bit of time to get to our table at the start. We knew we wanted a hearty breakfast to get us through the day, and we both went with the Chicken Fried Steak meal ($15.75), and we both got the eggs and hashbrowns to complete the plate. Then, because you can't deny a craving, we ordered one pancake stack to share. The food definitely filled us up, and it was tasty and comforting to boot. The chicken fried steak was flavorful and crispy underneath the creamy, hearty and meaty gravy. The hashbrowns were cooked almost to perfection (I tend to ask for crispy on both sides, because nothing's worse than a soggy-bottomed stack of hashbrowns; these were crispy on top and crispy-adjacent on the bottom.) The pancake was fluffy and soaked up the syrup - which they serve in a giant jug - perfectly. Overall a great, hearty, homey meal that kept us satiated while we explored the village and surrounding areas that day.

Hamburgers and fries and service and the bakery fresh deserts made our dining experience very enjoyable

This adorable place was just across the street from our hotel on this Labor Day weekend and the breakfast wait was short so we stopped in and were seated immediately. The interior vibe is that of an old school diner / chalet. I saw that a Yelp favorite was the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs ($15.75) and when asked, that was the first thing our waitress recommended. the chicken fry is made from ground beef which is my favorite way to make it and was seasoned just right and cooked to perfection. It comes with hash browns or home fries & toast (I substituted for cottage cheese to lower my carb intake). I got their homemade biscuits & gravy, their house specialty (which completely blew my carb count but when that's their specialty you just gotta do it ) and it was wonderful. The gravy is delicious. And it came out really quick. Girlfriend got the Country House Breakfast Special ($15.95) and comes with 3 bacon or sausage links, 2 eggs with hash browns or home fries and biscuits & gravy. She got bacon and sausage and the bacon was fantastic, the sausage was pretty average. The hash browns were cooked to perfection and were delicious. At the end, girlfriend just couldn't leave without trying the French toast which looked amazing and also came highly recommended and it lived up to the hype! Great job guys - So glad we stopped in!

We are staying right across the street at Snow Lake Lodge but walked up to Grizzly Cafe and there was a 45 minute wait, don't think so. We called here and the wait was nominal so we walked back and got seated right away. We had a really good breakfast here! Service was fast and efficient and we got served in no time. I got the country house special which included 3 bacon or sausage, 2 eggs with hash browns or home fries and biscuit with gravy. ($15.95). Everything was delicious! I got 2 bacon 1 sausage and it did not disappoint. The bacon was cooked perfectly and was really good. The eggs and hash browns were also perfectly cooked. The biscuits and gravy are homemade and added some nice stick to your ribs kinda gumption. We wiped our plates clean and I even ordered 1 slice of French toast for dessert ($5.75). Boyfriend got the chicken fried steak and that was excellent as well. Ambiance is so cute too, kind of like an old school diner and a ski chalet vibe. The chili verde omelette and burrito also looked super good. Maybe I'll try that next time...also ordered a side of French toast ($5.95 for one piece) and it was spectacular.

Homemade soup and considerate staff. Value is evident. It is my pleasure to support family run businesses. Thank you for the warm welcome and memorable experience.

We went here for breakfast and we weren't disappointed. It's just a diner but what made this place stand out were how happy and genuinely kind the staff were. It makes a difference in the experience. Will come back again and definitely recommend.

My family & I had brunch here while at Big Bear. Very homey atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly. Food was great. I had the corn beef hash & my sister in law & I shared a short stack of blueberry pancakes. Yummy! I will definitely recommend this place.
